Privacy policy

Tablehub runs menus, table ordering and bookings for restaurants. This page explains what we collect from restaurant teams and their guests, why, and who we share it with.

Restaurant teams

When you create an account or join a team, we keep:

  • your name and email address;
  • your password, stored only as a one-way hash;
  • your restaurant's details, menu, photos, tables, opening hours and settings;
  • for each signed-in session, the IP address and browser it came from, so you stay signed in and we can spot misuse.

Guests

When a guest books a table, the restaurant receives the guest's name, email address, party size and time, plus a phone number and notes if they give them. We use the email address to send the confirmation with a calendar file, a reminder the day before if the restaurant has them on, and any cancellation.

When a guest orders from a table, we keep what they ordered, any notes on the dishes, the table and the time. We don't ask guests for their name to order, and we don't take payments.

How we use it

  • To run the service: show menus, pass orders to the kitchen, take bookings and send the emails that go with them.
  • To keep accounts safe: confirm email addresses with a code, reset passwords and limit how often forms can be sent.
  • To answer you when you write to us.

We don't sell personal data, we don't use it for advertising, and there are no advertising or analytics trackers in the app.

Who we share it with

A guest's booking and orders are shared with the restaurant they booked or ordered at, which decides how it uses them. To run Tablehub we also rely on providers that host our servers and database, deliver our email, and protect the site from attacks. They handle data only to provide those services to us.

Cookies and storage

We use a cookie to keep restaurant teams signed in, and another to remember which restaurant you last worked in. Guests' browsers keep their unsent order on the device until it is sent, and staff browsers remember whether new-order sounds are on. None of these are used for tracking.

How long we keep it

We keep account and restaurant data while the account is open. Bookings and orders stay in the restaurant's history so it can look back at them. Sign-in codes and password reset links expire within an hour, and team invites after 7 days.

Your choices

You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it or to delete it. Write to hello@tablehub.net. Guests can also ask the restaurant directly, since it holds their booking.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top and tell restaurant owners by email.
